Auditions for 'Lines'

The auditions went well today, and we had around 9 people audition.
The roles that people came to audition for were as follows:

Jake
Taylor
Seth
Zeke
Megan

These are the main 5 roles which we advertised to people when they came into the auditions.

Before the auditions could start, the room had to be set up ready for the auditions. Me, Dave, Tara, Tim, and Mike all worked together in order to set up the room ready for the auditions.

When people came into the audition room Mike & Tara handed each person a copy of the lines, character profile, and most important of all the model release forms. The model release forms where signed by ALL the people that wished to audition for each role, once the forms were filed in Dave collected them.

During the time which people were filling out model release forms, Tim and Tara were setting up their equipment (Tim was setting up the Camera, and Tara was setting up the laptop). After every thing was set, I asked every one who wished to audition to leave the classroom, and then we would call each person in individually.

After we had filmed the first 6 people in the audition we decided to check the video footage we had filmed, because there was a drop in the number of people during this point. It was then when we realized there was no sound recorded on the videos, due to the microphone not actually being connected fully to the camera.

We soon overcame this problem, by simply calling back people to the auditions,but of the 6 people 3 people came back including 3 new people, so that was actually a positive thing, we also decided that it did not matter to much about the sound as we could use the sound track we had fond for our webseries and simply place it over the top of the audition footage.

Overall I believe the auditions went very well, apart from the odd set back with the sound and also we were expecting more people to arrive but there were still enough for each role so that was ok.

After the auditon me, Tara, and Mike discussed about who would be best for each role, and due to the fact that many people applied for a single role, for example (Joesef James for Jake Wood). Then the only issue was the part / role of Seth and Megan, as multiple people decided to audition for these roles, so we had to decided who would be best out of these people.
