Lesson / final week planning

After the group feedback discussion on our 2nd episode, I organized the group so that we could discuss what we as a group would do in this final week of the show project.

In the group discussion we discussed about what we would do during this lesson today and also what we would have to get done by the deadline (on monday).

The first thing which we discussed was what our teacher set us as a group to produce which was:

You also need to do some 'qualitative' research; it is suggested that you assemble a 'focus group' of viewers for a group discussion which you could tape on thursday afternoon. The tape should then be transcribed and analysed by the group on Friday. What are the significant features of how they respond to your programmes? is there a difference between responses to eps 1,2 and 3?

After I looked at this task, I then set to organising what we would do as a group for the group discussion about our web-series, inorder to colllect some qualitaive feedback. We as a group decided on this:

We as a group would hold a group discussion with 2 cast members or more and 2 face book fans or youtube viewers (who attend long road). who would attend the focus group discussion.

We as a group then deicded to give each person specific roles for hte discussion, shown below are the roles and whom will be doing each role:

Tim - Camer operator (to film the discussion)

Sam - Sound (Zoom mic - to record the opinions voiced during the discussion

Mike / Matt - Questions for the focus group meeting

Myself - photography / minutes of meeting

Rest of the group - Attend the meeting to raise any answers / questions


After the main task for thursday was discussed, I then set to work on reminding the people within the group of what it was they had to do this lesson.

Request form for use of microphone (Tara)
Create posters to advertise thrid episode launce (Tara & Tim)
Edit episode three ready for tonights launch (Matt & mike)
Updates on facebook, twitter, facepunch etc (Ash & Dave)
Update personal blog (Sam)
Set up facebook event for 3rd episode launch (Tara & Tim)


In todays lesson I typed up the feedback which we recieved on our 2nd episode onto both the group blog and also my own persona blog, I also organised the group folder and added any paper work which was given to me i.e. posters and request form etc
