Google - search

After looking into the way in which we have advertised our 'Lines' webseries, I decided to search for our series through the popular search engine, which is 'google'.

My first search which I typed into google was for 'Lines'. Once I had typed this word into the search bar, it came up with a variety of websites on the front page, and none of which were our actual webseires. I was expecting this as the word 'Lines's is a very common word, so I believed there to be many websites relating to the word 'lines' which were not actually to do with our webseries at all.

My seccond search which I typed into google was for the word / sentance 'Lines Webseries'. I was expecting to find our webseires on the front page of google, as there are no other webseires called Lines, or so I believe, but I was shocked to find that there was no website, or social networking page of ours on the front page, which is possibly due to the fact that we did not link our webpages together, or advertise our webseires enough online.

My thrid search which I typed into google was for the word / sentance 'Lines Facebook', I decided to type this in as we have a facebook page specifically for our webseries, and I thought that it would definatly appear in the top 10 listings on the fornt page of google due to the specific name which we gave our facebook, but unfortunatly this was not true, and out page did not appear on the front page, this is most likely because there are other popular facebook pages with the word lines within the title, or could also be the fact that we did not link many pages to our facebook page.

My forth and final google search was for the word / sentance 'Lines CDfilms'. I decided to search for this as it is more specific and relates more closely to what our webseires includes. The Lines part is of course the name of our webseires, and the CD Films part of the search is our production company for the webseires, I believed that the combination of these two words would bring up a more defined search result, and to my surprise it did, and it brough up allot more linking websites, including: Youtube, twitter and vimeo. This was a good result! Taking into account that if we are to recieve new fans then they would also have to type in lines cdfilms instead of just lines, and htis could indeed cause a problem, as many people will just type in lines, and in doing so would discover a very limited search result which did not even include our webseires, so the basic searching for our webseries for new fans, is a possible problem not for now but for the future due to the lack of fans.
